Reserve a Space
Willow Waterhole is open year-round and free to visit. Small gatherings are welcome without a permit, but larger events or special setups may require approval from the City of Houston.
Informal Use (No Reservation Needed)
You're free to enjoy these spaces for casual use (under 50 people, no tents or vendors):
Bob Schwartz Gazebo – Westbury Lake
Rafferty Memorial Oak Area – Triangle Lake
Scout Pavilion – Triangle Lake
Outdoor Classroom – under a shade tree near the Scout Pavilion
All are first-come, first-served. Please clean up and leave the space at least as good as you found it, if not better!
When a Permit Is Required
Apply through the City of Houston Parks & Recreation Department if:
Your group has 50+ guests
You plan to set up tents, tables, food trucks, or sound systems
You’re hosting a public event, school field trip, or athletic meet
Reserve at www.houstonparks.org/permits or call 832‑395‑7000

This helps us avoid scheduling conflicts and ensures your group has the support it needs.
Park Rules (Highlights)
To protect wildlife and ensure safe, shared use:
Open dawn to dusk
Dogs must be leashed
No glass, alcohol, fireworks, or amplified sound
No scooters or motorized vehicles on trails or grass
Fishing and kayaking allowed in designated areas only
