Reserve a Space

Willow Waterhole is open year-round and free to visit. Small gatherings are welcome without a permit, but larger events or special setups may require approval from the City of Houston.

Informal Use (No Reservation Needed)

You're free to enjoy these spaces for casual use (under 50 people, no tents or vendors):

  • Bob Schwartz Gazebo – Westbury Lake

  • Rafferty Memorial Oak Area – Triangle Lake

  • Scout Pavilion – Triangle Lake

  • Outdoor Classroom – under a shade tree near the Scout Pavilion

 All are first-come, first-served. Please clean up and leave the space at least as good as you found it, if not better!

When a Permit Is Required

Apply through the City of Houston Parks & Recreation Department if:

  • Your group has 50+ guests

  • You plan to set up tents, tables, food trucks, or sound systems

  • You’re hosting a public event, school field trip, or athletic meet

Let Us Know You're Coming

After submitting your permit request, please email info@willowwaterhole.org with:

  • Your event name

  • Date and time

  • Park area you’ll use

  • Estimated attendance

This helps us avoid scheduling conflicts and ensures your group has the support it needs.

Park Rules (Highlights)

To protect wildlife and ensure safe, shared use:

  • Open dawn to dusk

  • Dogs must be leashed

  • No glass, alcohol, fireworks, or amplified sound

  • No scooters or motorized vehicles on trails or grass

  • Fishing and kayaking allowed in designated areas only
